The year 2014 marked the completion of ten years of the NASA rovers exploring the planet Mars and sending back valuable information and pictures for the benefit of the Science community on earth. Initially planned as a ninety days mission in 2004 the rovers are still going on to much delight of its progenitors. In order to celebrate this aspect of space exploration, PAS Doha decided to bring George F Gabrielle, Program Engineer, Kennedy Space Center, Florida to do an Exhibition-cum-speaking tour of Qatar. In the four days of his tour here he addressed an audience comprising people of all ages at six different venues including 4 schools, one university and Qatar Scientific Club. In all he reached out to about 450 students both boys and girls and motivated them to take up STEM subjects and pursue a career in Space. The exhibition which moved with him from venue to venue included some models and a set of ten posters from IIP’s papershow “Exploring Mars”.
