U.S. Embassy in Qatar Kicks-Off Qatar-USA Festival
As part of the Qatar-USA Year of Culture, the U.S. Embassy in partnership with Qatar Museums, Katara Cultural Village, and Doha Film Institute, kicks off the Qatar-USA Festival November 24-29. The festival aims to promote intercultural exchanges between the U.|S. and Qatar by bringing together the two countries’ rich and unique cultures through events and activities throughout Doha’s most popular landmarks.
The Qatar-USA Festival aims to bring people together safely through in-person events and activities such as jazz performances by the New York-based Charlie Porter Quintet, featuring Grammy-Award trumpeter; open air family-friendly movie screenings in collaboration with the Doha Film Institute; spectacular dance performances by Texas-based Soul Street Dance Company; and cooking masterclass sessions and discussions about unique American dishes by the renowned and award-winning American Chef William Dissen and Chef Saif Rahman.
