The U.S. Department of State selected U.S. Embassy Doha nominees Ruqaya Al Sada and Fatima Al Ansari of Rwaq to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad, India November 28-30. This year’s theme, “Women First – Prosperity for All,” emphasizes the role women entrepreneurs play in making communities more prosperous and secure. Al Sada and Al Ansari, both graduates of Qatar University, co-founded RWAQ with material support from the Qatar Business Incubation Center. RWAQ is a monthly subscription service that ships a new book and accompanying accessories to the subscriber every month as part of a comprehensive reading experience that promotes reading culture in Qatar and the whole MENA region.
The women expressed their excitement to join other entrepreneurs at the Summit, and to expand their professional network. Ruqaya added: “We will be taking full advantage of our trip to get to know the entrepreneurship global community and we are very thankful for the U.S government and the U.S embassy for giving us this priceless opportunity.”
